i) eVisitor

Citizens from the following European countries are eligible to get the eVisitor visa for Australia:

  • Andorra, Bulgaria, Czechia, Finland, Greece, Ireland, Liechtenstein, Malta, Norway, Romania, Slovenia, Switzerland, Austria, Croatia, Denmark, France, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Monaco, Poland, San Marino, Spain, United Kingdom, Belgium, Cyprus, Estonia, Germany, Iceland, Latvia, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Sweden, Vatican City.

  • How to Apply for an eVisitor for Australia?

    You can apply for an eVisitor online, through the official visa application portal of Australia:

    1. Create an ImmiAccount.

    2. Enter your personal details, passport information, and the purpose of travel.

    3. Attach any required documents.

    4. Submit the application.

    5. Wait to hear back. You will receive an email confirming your visa application within one to two days. The letter includes your visa grant number, the date on which it starts, and how long it is valid.

ii) Electronic Travel Authority (ETA)

You can only apply for an ETA to visit Australia if you are from one of the following countries:

  • United States, Canada, Japan, Brunei, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea

You apply for an ETA visa through the official website of the Australian government. You will have to:

  1. Go to the ETA website.

  2. Select your current residence and reason for travelling (tourism or business).

  3. Enter your passport details and personal information.

  4. Enter the purpose of your trip.

  5. Pay the ETA application fee.

  6. Enter your email address, so they can contact you about the outcome of your application.

iii) Visitor Visa

For everyone else, they need to get a Visitor visa (subclass 600) Business Visitor stream. The cost of the latter is AUD150.00 and it states that with this visa you may "take part in a conference or trade fair. You can apply for this visa online by creating an ImmiAccount or in person at an Australian Embassy.
